The CMID scheme is now set up whereby vessels may be inspected by properly accreddited inspectors who carry out standard types of inspections of both the vessel and her operation and complete an inspection report in a standard format that can be uploaded to the CMID database.

This database can be accessed by potential costomers (Charters for example) in order to compair similar vessels and or to check the compliance of individual vessels and operations before making any decision with respect to chartering vessels. The information within the form should save charters great amounts of time having their own inspections caried out on vessels that, when inspected forthem, turn out to be defective or have deficiencies in the way that they are run.

Vessel owners can be proud to let potential charters know that their vessels have beeb inspected, and that they achieved a suitable, common standard, and they they continue to be operated at or above that standard.

Ian Anderson of ANDMarine ltd has been duly acreddited under this scheme and is authorised to carry out such inspections.  He works locally to Felixstowe, but can also travel to wherever your vessels may be working - to minimise any disruption to the vesel's service. We are close to Stansted airport, and to other travel links and ableto minimise cot and time taken to travel to vessels.
